La Valse는 왈츠를 의미하는 동시에 “돌고 돈다”라는 물레방아와 같은 의미를 함축하고 있다.  이 당시 왈츠는 서민의 춤에서

점차 귀족의 춤으로 그 영역이 확대 되었었고,  왈츠를 추는 동안 많은 대화들이 오고 갔다고 한다.

야드로 도자기를  연상케도 하는 나의 La Valse는 카미유 끌로델의 소조를 차용해 움직이는 조각으로 발전 시키는 동시,

나만의 이야기를 La Valse  2013에 풀어보았다.

춤을 추는 남녀가 소중한 대화를 이끌어 가며,  시대가 변할 지라도 상대를 존중하던 그 모습을 담고싶었다.

La valse 2013 v.2

La Valse means the Waltz while it also imply the meaning of waterwheel that is “spinning around”. At first, this Waltz dance was common in citizens but it slowly expanded to the noble’s dance. When people were dancing the Waltz, there were many conversations.

I wanted to put my personal story in La Valse 2013 by developing the sculptures to move from Camille Claudel’s La valse

I wanted to contain the image of dancing woman and man who honors each other and are in the middle of  valuable conversation.
